Who used early counseling practice — and how far they went

An anonymized descriptive snapshot of early SofiaHelp account activity. The findings describe this dataset only; they do not establish learning efficacy, causation, retention, or institutional outcomes.

Method

A conservative, privacy-preserving account snapshot

The analysis used an owner-provided profile export. No names, email addresses, birth dates, account IDs, payment identifiers, or transcripts are published here.

Accounts created between November 17, 2025 and July 10, 2026 in the provided export.

Exclusions

Internal, test, and likely duplicates removed

Ten obvious internal or test profiles were excluded. Two likely duplicate identity groups were collapsed.

The resulting denominator is a conservative estimate of external people, not a randomized sample.

Audience pattern

0–2 years of experience dominated use

Users reporting 0–2 years of experience represented 71 of 88 external users, 35 of 38 users with confirmed minutes, and 21 of 23 users at or above 30 minutes.

Onboarding association

Completion and first use moved together

27 of 48 users marked onboarding complete had confirmed use, compared with 11 of 40 who had not completed onboarding. This association does not show that onboarding caused activation.

Limitations

What this snapshot cannot answer

These constraints materially limit the conclusions. The brief is product-learning evidence, not a clinical or educational outcomes study.

  • Usage minutes are a periodic profile snapshot and may undercount earlier activity.
  • The data do not include session-level completion, D1/D7/D30 retention, or lifetime use.
  • There is no control group, randomization, baseline skill measure, or faculty-rated outcome.
  • Self-reported experience and interests may be incomplete or inconsistently interpreted.
  • The export cannot attribute a user to a landing page, search query, campaign, or institution.
  • Association between onboarding and use may reflect motivation or another unobserved factor.
